My Learning Studio

My classroom or "learning studio" is set up to benefit my students in both their academic and social development. My students are in an inclusive 4th grade classroom that fosters opportunities for both partner and group work. I have opted to remove the "carpet" space but instead my students are allowed to sit on their desk during read alouds and whole class discussions, as this set up allow my students to sit differently than what the "norm" is and often increases engagment because they are allowed to have the freedom to utilize their learning space in a unique manner. Our room also includes various technologies such as a SMARTBoard, Apple TV, ELMO Projector, and iPads that are all used to increase engagement and assist my students in their learning experience.
